A Passion For Fitness And Fashion
Vanessa Acero, founder of Alumbra Sport and a WBFF Bikini Diva competitor, discovered her passion for fitness in 2018 after facing challenging experiences that left her feeling unfulfilled. That year, she decided to test her limits by entering the World’s Best Fashion and Fitness competition in the Bikini category, where she achieved third place. This transformative experience sparked a dedication to health and wellness that has driven her ever since. In addition to her competition success, Vanessa became a certified personal trainer and continues to develop top-of-the-line fitness accessories, gear, and programs designed to help others achieve their wellness goals.
Founding Alumbra Sport And Building a Community
In 2019, Vanessa collaborated with her sister Carolina to create Alumbra Sport, a brand rooted in the mission of inspiring others to lead healthier lives with kindness. While Carolina later stepped back from the project, Vanessa took the reins launching her first activewear collection. When the pandemic hit in 2020, Vanessa pivoted to virtual fitness classes, receiving overwhelming support and inspiring her to establish Alumbra Sport boot camps. The name “Alumbra,” meaning “to light up” in Spanish, captures the brand’s mission of positive transformation. Their logo, featuring a gradient flame, represents the healing and powerful energy of the violet flame—a symbol of Alumbra Sport’s commitment to bringing positive change to the lives of its community.
